Video Wizard
We’re looking for a creative, detail-obsessed, and storytelling-driven Video Wizard to help bring Archer’s mission and content to life. You’ll edit and produce short, scroll-stopping videos in Biteable (training provided) that make career and EdTech topics engaging, visual, and impossible to skip.
What You Will Do
Edit, produce, and polish short-form videos in Biteable that align with Archer’s tone and brand
Brainstorm, storyboard, and execute creative ways to tell stories and share insights
Learn fast, take initiative, and elevate each project with thoughtful details
Work steadily and independently throughout the week to meet quick-turn deadlines
Collaborate closely with a small, high-energy team that values creativity, ownership, and quality
Who We are Looking For
Current college student or recent grad majoring in marketing, communications, media, or a creative field
Strong visual storytelling instincts and a genuine passion for content creation, early career development, and EdTech
Detail-oriented perfectionist who takes pride in clean, compelling video work
Entrepreneurial mindset — resourceful, curious, and proactive problem-solver
Reliable, self-directed, and organized, with excellent time management skills
Bonus: Qualifications
Student or recent alum from one of our partner universities — DePaul, UChicago, Northwestern, Michigan, Virginia Tech, University of Rochester, Johns Hopkins, or Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Hands-on experience with video editing, storytelling, or social media marketing (academic, personal, or professional projects all count!)
Excited to grow into broader marketing, creative, or content strategy roles over time
Role Logistics
Part-time (10 hours/week), remote-friendly — with a preference for candidates based in Chicago
Compensation: $20/hour
Comprehensive onboarding and training on Archer’s product, brand voice, and video content approach
Hands-on experience using advanced AI tools to streamline production and enhance creativity
Mentorship from Archer’s team—the innovators behind AI-driven career readiness solutions
Career coaching to elevate your LinkedIn profile and resume
Access to Archer’s network for ongoing mentorship, project referrals, and career opportunities
Selection Process
You’ll start by completing a short, hands-on video editing challenge.
Submit the Interest Form below to get started.
You’ll receive a sample video (2–3 minutes) that was produced by Team Archer for one of our current microlearning courses.
We’ll give you access to Biteable, along with Archer’s video standards and production guidelines.
Recreate the sample video from scratch — this will be your Version 1.
Then, create a Version 2 that adds your own creative twist — your style, your voice, your vision — while still aligning with Archer’s aesthetic and quality standards.
⏱️ The challenge should take about 2–3 hours to complete.
We use this process because we believe in the idea of “do the work to get the job.” It’s a chance for you to show us your talent, not just tell us about it.
💡 And here’s the fun part — if your Version 2 outshines our original, we’ll send you a $25 gift card as a thank-you… and most likely hire you!
